The ACIA represents climbing interests throughout Australia and offers instruction at cliffs in Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia and Queensland.

The aims of the association are to promote professional standards of rock climbing instruction as well as to assist its member guides and instructors with issues such as accreditation, land management and licensing, cliff access and environmental responsibility.

About us

The Australian Climbing Instructors' Association (ACIA) is an incorporated body formed in 2000 by the merger of state based professional climbing instructor organizations. The Climbing Instructors Association (CIA), incorporated in Victoria in 1990 and including NSW, and the Rockclimbing Instructors Association of Queensland (RIAQ) dissolved as separate state bodies and now operate under the national banner of the Australian Climbing Instructors' Association.

Sport Climbing Instructor Pilot Program
